Andrew S. Hogan (Andy) has earned his Masters of Mental Health Counseling degree and is a member of the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society. He is currently working as a mental health therapist with clients of all ages. In addition to his practice, Andy has published 18 books and has spoken to thousands in university, radio, and podcast settings throughout the USA, China, and Taiwan. Andy understands mental illness. At age 20, he was hospitalized twice for manic psychosis and has lived with chronic, type I bipolar disorder ever since. After successfully raising two children with diagnosed mental illness, Andy took the five steps from his best-selling, self-help book (Beating Mental Illness) and wrote a children’s story for each step.
