Dr. Elena A. Savina

Elena A. Savina, PhD, is a professor at the Combined-Integrated Doctoral Program in Clinical and School Psychology at James Madison University. She has extensive clinical experience providing mental health services for children and adolescents and their families at acute psychiatric, residential treatment, and school settings. Dr. Savina professional interests include developing well-being and social-emotional interventions for children and adolescents.

She is a lead author of the books Empowered to Flourish: A Curriculum Promoting Well-Being and Resilience in Adolescent Girls and Play, Learn, and Enjoy! A Self-Regulation Curriculum for Children.  She also authored Well-being in Adolescent Girls: From Theory to Interventions.
