Stephan M. Silverman
Stephan M. Silverman, Ph.D., is former Director of Assessment and Behavioral Services for the Weinfeld Education Group. He was a school psychologist in the Montgomery County Public Schools system in Maryland for 30 years and has maintained a private practice in Maryland since 1975. Dr. Silverman earned his B.A. from the University of Maryland and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Emory University. Dr. Silverman was a field trainer for graduate externs and interns in school and clinical psychology for 18 years while working in Montgomery County.
He coauthored School Success for Kids With Asperger’s Syndrome with Rich Weinfeld. He also coauthored School Success for Kids With ADHD and 101 School Success Tools for Students With ADHD with Dr. Jacqueline Iseman and Sue Jeweler. He provides training workshops to a wide variety of parent, educator, and professional groups.
Dr. Silverman developed and supervised a multidisciplinary early childhood assessment team focusing on assessment of children from birth through early childhood suspected of autism spectrum disorders. He has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of challenges. His practice has emphasized support to parents of children with disabilities and relationships with schools that educate children with disabilities and those who learn differently.
