Dr. Elena A. Savina

Elena Savina, PhD, is a professor at the Combined-Integrated Doctoral Program in Clinical and School Psychology at James Madison University. She has clinical experience providing mental health services for children and adolescents and their families at acute psychiatric, residential treatment, and school settings. Dr. Savina professional interests include developing well-being and socio-emotional interventions for children and adolescents. She is a lead author of the books “Play, learn, and enjoy: A self-regulation curriculum for children” (2018, Research Press) and “Well-being in adolescent girls: From theory to interventions” (2022, Routledge).
