Resilience Builder Program Author Featured in NPR’s “How To Raise A Human” Series

Dr. Mary Alvord, psychologist and author of Resilience Builder Program for Children and Adolescents, is featured in NPR’s health series “How To Raise A Human.” In this edition, Dr. Alvord and an elementary school counselor implement a resilience building program for fifth graders who were selected for this program by the counselor. This small group of children participated in social-emotional skill building exercises designed to help build resilience and to control negative thinking.
