Therese A. Rando, Ph.D., is the Clinical Director of The Institute for the Study and Treatment of Loss, which provides advanced training, supervision, and consultation to professionals working with the dying and the bereaved. She is also the Clinical Director of Therese A. Rando Associaties, Ltd., a multidisciplinary team providing outpatient psychotherapy, specializing in loss and grief, traumatic stress, and the psychosocial care of the chronically and terminally ill. Since 1970, she has consulted, conducted research, provided therapy, written, appeared as an expert witness, and lectured internationally in areas related to loss, grief, dying, and death.
