An innovative, evidence-based program that has proven effective in helping young children learn the social and emotional skills necessary for school readiness and success. The teaching approach combines a number of sensory modalities, using stories, mnemonics, coloring books, songs, role-playing, and visual aids.
The curriculum is built around four original stories and songs - featuring delightful animal characters:
- Rosie the Roadrunner learns to follow directions
- Prairie Dog Pete learns to share
- Roscoe the Raccoon learns to manage his behavior
- Prickles the Porcupine learns to solve problems
The program has been thoroughly field-tested in clinical trials and in Head Start preschool settings. It is also appropriate for young children in child care situations and for school-age children in early elementary grades.
The complete program includes a storybook, a music CD, a teacher's guide, and 10 coloring books for each story (40 coloring books in all). |
