Grades K-8. Provides a practical and comprehensive curriculum that helps teachers minimize classroom disruptions by teaching students self-control and responsibility for their own behavior. The ready-to-use lesson plans are easily integrated into existing content areas and can be used in regular or special education classrooms. Students learn 20 self-control skills that include: managing anger and aggressive reactions; controlling impulses and demonstrating patience; coping with mistakes, failures, and frustration; participating appropriately in cooperative or competitive activities; and getting along with peers and adults. Includes the Self-Control Inventory that educators can use to assess the self-control skills of their students and a Student and Family Self-Report Form that provides input on how students view themselves and how parents view their children. (Note: Forms are also provided in Spanish.) A National Educational Service Publication.

Additional anger management resources.
