The Language Arts Objective Sequence (LOS) is a comprehensive, observation-based assessment tool for use with students from early childhood through adolescence. It is an essential assessment tool for special educators, Title I teachers, remedial reading specialists, and English as Second Language (ESL) teachers. LOS helps evaluate students' current performance levels and identify specific goals and objectives that will provide a foundation for the development of appropriate instructional or intervention plans. It consists of 312 objectives and 69 long-term goals divided into nine subscales that comprise the typical components of language arts curricula. Click here for a description of each subscale and a list of forms. It is especially helpful for working with students who have an Individual Education Plan (IEP), Section 504 plan, or any other individualized instructional need. LOS can be used as a bank of objectives, curriculum guide, rating scale, or structured observation system. ISBN 0-87822-466-1 |
