This powerful video focuses on the connection between so-called "delinquent youth" and the experience of childhood trauma such as emotional, sexual, or physical abuse. The video features the unique stories of four young adults who are survivors of childhood trauma. They candidly discuss their troubled childhood and teenage years and reveal how, with the help of caring adults, they were able to salvage their lives. The caregivers, who helped these young adults through their teenage years, are joined by other helping professionals who provide thorough discussions of diagnosis and treatment issues. They offer valuable guidelines and insights on working with adolescents who have experienced childhood trauma.
