Demonstrates the use of special relaxation procedures with children and adolescents who have developmental disabilities. During training, students learn to recognize signs of stress, identify situations that may cause stress, and use the self-relaxation procedures in community settings. Viewers will see how to correctly use reinforcement and guided imagery during training. The training segments also provide excellent examples of the proper use of voice tone, volume, and pacing. Purchase includes a free copy of the book Relaxation: A Comprehensive Manual for Adults, Children, and Children with Special Needs.
